Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Bay Shore Relics LLC wants every railfan to browse and buy comfortably — including visitors using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.
What's built into the shop
- Accessibility toolbar (in the site header): larger text, high contrast, dyslexia-friendly font, reduced motion, and underlined links. Your choices are saved in your browser and announced to screen readers.
- Light and dark modes, with your OS preference honored automatically and no flash on load.
- Keyboard navigation: a "Skip to content" link, visible focus states, and a mobile menu that works without a mouse.
- Screen-reader support: semantic landmarks, labeled controls, live announcements for cart and toolbar changes, and descriptive alt text on listing photos.
- Reduced motion: we honor your operating system's reduce-motion setting on first visit, and the toolbar can force it.
Known limitations
- PayPal checkout runs inside PayPal's interface, which we don't control. PayPal publishes its own accessibility information; if it gives you trouble, contact us and we'll complete your order another way.
- Older listing photos: a small number of early scans may have shorter alt text while we work through the archive.
Feedback
Found a barrier? Tell us and we'll fix it — accessibility reports go to the top of our list. Email hello@bayshorerelicsllc.com or use the contact form, and describe the page and what assistive technology you're using. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
This statement is reviewed whenever we ship significant site changes.
